JSC “Gzhel Porcelain Factory” and snack manufacturer Holy Corn became the winners of the Russian Award in the field of folk art crafts “Narodny” in the nomination “Design and craft” for “The best Russian product with elements of NHP”. The award was given for a unique collaboration — a limited edition of popcorn in packages with traditional Gzhel painting.
The joint project combined the centuries-old heritage of Gzhel art and the modern gastronomic trend. Two flavor variations have been released:

· “Forest mushrooms” (circulation of 60 thousand packs),

· “Charlotte” (circulation of 80 thousand packs).

The bright packaging design, made in the company’s blue-and-white palette, not only emphasized the recognition of Gzhel, but also introduced the young audience to the cultural code of Russian crafts in an unexpected, relevant format.
The victory in the National Award is especially significant, since the laureates were determined not only by specialized specialists, but also by a broad popular vote. This confirms that the project has found a response from the most demanding audience — consumers.

“It is important for us that traditional art continues to live and develop, finding new forms. The collaboration with Holy Corn is a bridge between generations that brings Gzhel closer to modern trends while preserving authenticity,” says Anastasia Pravostnova, Creative Director of Gzhel Porcelain Factory JSC.

The experience of successful collaborations
This is not the first award of the plant for joint projects. In 2024, the company already won the National Award for long-term collaboration with designer Sergey Sysoev, who created a minimalistic collection of hand-painted dishes in cobalt and gold, which has remained a hit of sales since 2018. A new project with Holy Corn continues this successful tradition.
