“Neither to plow, nor to sow, but only to live for pleasure, to live only to breathe clean air,” Chekhov described the country life of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries in the story “New Cottage”. The summer resident became a popular character in literature — numerous Chekhov’s heroes rented a cottage for the summer, got acquainted, talked, played croquet and —in love. These ideas of country life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when country houses became a place for joint leisure, celebrations, family holidays and were the inspiration for this project. After all, what is a cottage? First of all, it is the pleasure of meeting with the whole family and friends, a special, measured lifestyle and the happiest memories of childhood.
